I think halloween might be one of my favorite holidays (although it´s not a holiday at all). We decorated the apartment, drank ourself drunk, went out and about on an overcrowded town and fell asleep quite satisfied with the night events.

As Smuglesning says it so fine "if there are any justice in this world, this band should almost be as big as Lars Vaular and John Olav Nilsen og Gjengen. But then again, there are no justice."

Stilettos and broken bottles
My new dress and I went out and about yesterday. I´m back in Ålesund for a week (I´m broke and need to get some work done so I can say "hello Weekday and Southampton!"). Having a two-person-pre-party in my bed are usually a recipe for a good night, and yesterday was no exception. Making stupid videos and listening to my beloved indie-bands with Malena is really the best way to spend a Saturday.
I btw went to see Skambankt on friday, and all I have to say is - if you have the opportunity to see them, GO FOR IT! I´ve seen them once before, but this time it was really something. And oh my god, the bassist, Tollak, is heit.

Teenage Crime

(ph.weheartit.com)
It´s all about lust, isn't it? Stumbled across this amazingly blog yesterday, and it kept me up all night. My heart almost popped out of my chest, the butterflies went crazy and my roommate laughed at me for being probably the biggest hopeless romantic in the world. Really, some time I´m can be quite pathetic. Everyone who is a friend of mine on facebook can confirm it by my many albums named "things that give me butterflies" part one, two and three. But hey, its love. And I love love, and deep inside I realize that I miss being in love.
If your up for more lovely clichés, check out Nathalie Nordnes "Mine fineste klær". It´s the most adorable song ever.

Knits
Cold weather leads to a overload of knits and scarfs. I miss summer already. Not being able to walk outside in my finest dresses without stockings make me depressed. At the same time, I can´t wait for everything to turn white and christmassy. I guess you can´t always get what you want, right?

rock and roll legends #1 / skinny little bitch

(ph. Hedi Slimane)
No, she did not kill Kurt Cobain. And no, she is not mostly known as Kurt Cobains wife. Courtney Love is amazing. With quotes like "I want every girl to pick up a guitar and start screaming" she truly inspired me and my friends back when we used to be a band, and I bet she has inspired thousands of girls to do the same. In 1989 Courtney taught herself to play the guitar, and set out to form her own band; And boy, did she do so!
With songs like "Malibu", "Violet", and "Dolls Parts", Hole is the noisy, punk inspired 90´s alternative band most of your friends hate. I love them. Their music, their lyrics, everything. Courtney Love is also partly to blame for little Jenny Humphrey's walkabouts in ripped stockings and corsets. In the 90s she and her co rockstar Kat Bjelland created the look kinderwhore. Looking like a kid prostitute with ripped babydoll dresses, messy hair and worn out makeup have never looked better.

Trench me up

For a really long time I was quite determent that for my 21th birthday, I would by myself a Burberry trenchcoat. Then I kinda realized the thing everybody had been telling me for ages; spending 7000 NOK on a coat, while being a student, plus the fact that I´m moving to England next year, is stupid. So, I put the Burberry dream on post for some years. Luckily for me, I found this Filippa K inspired trench at H&M. Price tag? A lot less than a Burberry. So, I brought it home with me. The quality of the fabric is of course not even near the quality of a Burberry, or a Filippa K or Acne for that matter, but for now, it works. It looks good, dose´nt it?
