Fashion week is back on, and Paris is once more the center of attention. The Haute Couture shows are the first ones out. Dior held their couture show some days ago, and not much showed that the world is supposedly in a finance crisis. Down the runway, dresses most people can just dream about, was flowing and John Galliano once more proved his talent for the art of tailoring. The Show was embossed by pastel colours, 50's siluetts and flowery details. Big dress- skirts and marked waists and arms recurred trough the whole show, which was a princess wordy. Seriously, someday, I'm going to be princess and wear these dresses all day long. Galliano has definitely done it again!

The couple of last seasons there have been a lot of laces going on in the designer collection, and the last year, in the high-street department stores. This year transparent dresses and details is the new big thing. From the sweet white and pink nostalgics dresses to the more rock and roll black ones, these dresses is definitely going to be the hit of the summer. I can't wait for the department stores to pick them up!
I just discovered the most lovely thing. I've always wanted a polaroid camera, ever since I was little and my hairdresser used to take pictures of our new haircut with one, but I've never found one I cud buy. Then I found this program, which takes you're normal pictures and make them polaroid! It's simply brilliant!

Some weeks ago my school class and I went to a museum to see a collection of pictures that showed modern architecture in New York. By modern I don't mean like modern as in new, but the art form The Modern Project. I absolutely fell in love with the black and white photos of New York's buildings and afterwords we went out to take photos of The Modern Project in Aalesund. I kinda like the result.
Okey girls, so tights are not pants! I don't care if they "fit like leggings, but look like jeans without the hassle of zips and buttons", they are still ugly. Jeans are jeans, and tights, or leggings if you like, are not, and should not be used as pants. Fore Christ sake, wear a long shirt or just a long t-shirt with it and it might be ok. As long as is goes beneeth you're bump, it's ok. Just don't wear them with normal sized sweaters and shirts, wake up and realize that it is nor pretty or flattering. It's just not.
Who can forget Withney from The Hills with the skinny legs and the bambi eyes, who tripped and fell at Good Morning America and always had comforing words to say to Lauren? Well, now she is of to New York, working for Diane von Fustenberg and basically living the dreamlife. Im in total love with the style and outfits in the show! (ehh, I think thats the only reason why I watch it actually, oh well) Check it out here: The City at mtv.com

There are things in life that just are routines. You brush you're tees in the morning and you wash you're face in the evening. You eat breakfast and and you're alarm clock ring at the same time every morning. Routines can be many things, and for me it's to put on my necklaces, watch and rings in the morning. I'm actually surprised I haven't lost any of it yet, I'm such a messhead!

The perfect red dress never goes out of fashion, and right now, I seeking the perfect one. It's like I have this thing, I'm always seeking the perfect pice of clothing. The perfect hat, the perfect pari of jeans, the perfect black dress ect. Right now I just really feel to have a red dress hanging in my closet. The red dress is sexy, flirty, fun and just.. RED. It stands out, and mixed with (my) pale skin and smoky eyes it would have been perfect.
And when it comes to red dresses, Valentino will always bee the master. Period.

Favorites #1; ripped tights, and Alexander Wang of course. I love the whole ripped tights idea, it's so dark and sexy, but still feminine. I just have to figure out how to rip them by DIY, without completely tearing them apart. Practice will do master.
I opened my email today to find a mail from Who What Wear telling me about the big trends for spring and summer 2009. Drawsting bags, bib necklaces, sharp shoulders and mini skirts - I agree on all of them, but cage shoes? Who would want to put their foot in a cage? Not to mention the ugliness of this shoe, but just think how unpractical they are! Imagine walking along the city in summertime wearing you're new cave shoes. Many hours and a lot of walking later you're at home. Tiered as you are, you're dropping down on the couch unzipping you're shoes to find what? You're legs perfectly tanned in a cage pattern!
Well, it's time to sum up the last year and start the new one. Oh well, the new one started with a band and I haven't fully recovered until now, but anyways. This year has been quite eventful. January, February, March and April is kinda a blur, besides that every Wednesday was spent in the local papers office, being an intern and that I went to Oslo on a class trip. In May, two friends and I started the streetstyle blog gatemote, or street fashion as it is in english. I also fell in love and got my hart broken, fantastic. In June school was finally out and in July I got to go on vacation to Santorini and I had the time of my life! I also started this blog. In August I went to a festival called Raumarock and once again, I had the time of my life. In September I was picked girl of the week on Teen Vogue and the rest of the fall and winter was spent on school work and go out dancing every weekend. I truly love being 18.
Looking back at the pas year, I think I have grown a lot. Learned a lot as well. Changed in some ways, developed my personal style and somehow found me. Well, nufh of the deep minded reflection, it has been a fantastic year!
