Travel-report

Well, I'm home. Santorini is incredible beautiful, but quite boring. Well, Kamari is anyways. Ha, beautiful but boring, it sounds like a bad boyfriend. Anyways, I'm in total love with thatsiki, white houses and the colour blue. And of course, I will never forget the nights we spent laying on the beach, watching the stars and listening to the sea. Summerlove is a very nice thing indeed, until you have to say goodbye.
I spent my days hanging on the beach, getting tanned, walking around discovering the most amazing shops and watching the people walking by. The style in Kamari is very laid-back, people wearing summer dresses, shorts and big-sized t-shirts and of course, flip-flops and hats. We are talking Alexander Wang spring 08, only on budget and slightly more, ehe, common. But of course there were some people trying to walk in high heals on paving stone. Combine this with a slutty dress and you have these ladies in a nut shell. Serious, screw the heels, you are on a paving stone beach parade for Christ sake.
And my wardrobe is quite happy at the moment, it's filled with three new beautiful dresses and tons of new accessories. Photo is coming up.

Tuesday

I'm on a plain, I can't complain

Well, in a phew hours I'll be on a plain on my way to the Greek island Santorini. I bet it's going to be lovely and right now I'm really looking forward to the relaxation. I'm stressing out! Of course I'm not packed, my ipod isn't updated or loaded and simply, I have no idea what to do, because somehow, it seems like something is missing or that I'm forgetting something. I'm just not sure what. Anyways, see you all in two weeks (depending on the population of Internet cafes), have a lovely summer!

Monday

Evening

Work today as well. Always fun fun fun! Well, the money is good anyways. Bah. Well, this evening has been full of.. nothing. I'm bored. Well, at least I have Mr. Lagerfeld to keep me company. My dad brought me Fridays copy of D2, and featured was Karl himself. I really enjoyed the article, so if you have a copy at hand, read it! My dad also brought me a pink Lacoste t-shirt. It's not really my style, but it was cute and it makes him happy to see me wear it, so I will. With my black shorts and the scarf featured on the picture I think it will look kinda cool. You can also see my lovely pincushion, featured because I have to do some customising on my new pants. The legs are huge!

Sunday

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Yesterday was a lot of fun, but now I'm hangover and just want to go to sleep. Aah, you got to love those Sundays. I got some really good photos from last night, but less you are a friend of mine on facebook, you can't see them. Ha-Ha. So, instead, hers a photo of my wardrobe. I really like that word; wardrobe. I think it has something to do with the movie-title "The lion, the witch and the wardrobe". It all sounds so pretty. Anyways, my left wardrobe door is my wall of inspiration where i hang pictures and stuff that inspires me. On my mirror you can see two black/white photos of Caroline and Malena's kisses and on the second door; an old vintage dress customized by me. I love that dress, but still, it's too big and it seems like I never have the time to finish it. Kinda sad. I guess I just have to eat until it fits me. Oh well, that was a joke.

Friday

I love N.Y

So, I have been working every day for a week now, and yet, it's not stopping. 8'hour workday tomorrow, plus 5'hour days both Monday and Tuesday. The up side is that on Wednesday I'm on a plain to Santorni. Can't wait! So this week has been extremely stressful, and now I'm so tired I even ditched a concert with one of my favorite bands, just so I cud get some sleep! Well, don't feel to sorry for me, I get to see them at this festival in August anyway, and this way, I'm saving money. Yeah, as I sad, this week have been full of work, but on the other hand, it has been picnics in the park and just wandering around town too. I swear, Malena and I ate the best box of strawberries I have ever tasted the other day! I love strawberries.

The boys of summer

According to me, the must-have item of the summer is a big, boy shirt. So girls, get of your buts and run to the nearest store that sells menswear, or, by all means, steal your brother/father/boyfriend's. The shirt can be used to everything! To shorts, pants and skirts. You can use it as a overall while going to the beach. But most important, you have to roll up the sleeves. Otherwise it will look, ehe, not that summerish.

Tuesday

Luella Fall 2008

(pic from style.com)
Well, ever since I first laid my eyes on Luellas spring collection I have been in love. The dorky, corky, sweet, nerdy, sexy, superwoman Luella girl inspires me, and is absolutely adorable. The only thing I don't fancy is the Dr.Martins shoes. But that's another story. So, lately I have been looking at the fall collection. Well, the runway looks are perfect for Halloween. But if you see behind the witches' hats and the scary hairdo, you have these amazing dresses, tees and coats. I'm in love again. And guess what, the collection is coming to Urban Outfitters! I guess it's true, Luella is really back in London. Unfortunately, we don't have any Urban Outfitters stores in Norway, that's why we love the Internet too. Guess where I'm going to use all my savings. And by the way, never mind the crappy cropping. I'm in total lack of photoshop these days.

Monday

Music that starts with the letter A

Music means a lot to me. By a lot I mean A LOT. Along with fashion, music is one of my two passions, and I love it. One of my favorite things to do is to hang on myspace, finding new unknown bands. I try not to download music too often, I love buying Cd's, but sometimes the longing to have the band on my iPod and my lack of money forces me to open the download program. It's a shame that a new Cd costs 170 nok. Anyways; hers a list of some of the bands and artists I like which starts with the letter A. Some are unknown, some are known. Stay toon for the next post; Music that starts with the letter B. Enjoy.

Sunday

I Love

I love this photo. Taken while waiting for the buss to go to the mountains. Shirts, stripes, guitar-bags, leather jackets and bags. And of course graffiti. Love Urban.

Friday

She wants to go to the seaside

It's HOT HOT HOT. Can't think, can't write, can't focus. It's too hot to skate, to hot for tanning and too hot to be inside. My new plan is to get up early in the morning, skate/go cruzing before it gets too hot and then have a siesta until 3 or 4 a.m. I want to go to the seaside. Ehe, well, I live by the sea, sooo, beach time! See you all later. Ciao

Wednesday

It's all about the tutu

Well, a few days ago Fleurette posted a post staring the skirts she would never be seen wearing, because in Oslo, everybody wears them. Featured was a white tutu-skirt from H&M young. Happely I commented that lucky me, I could wear it, because in Ålesund, no one else would. But deep down in my hart, I felt sadness, because I knew the skirt was not to be found in the town of Ålesund. Until, yesterday, when I went with my mom to this shoppingsenter outside town and I saw a H&M store and thoth, whatever, I can just check if they have it. And they had it! So today, I was a happy little girl, dressed like a kid in a tutu-skirt, which everybody thought was adorable. Yey me.

Tuesday

Summerland

Yesterday I wandered around in town for two hours, scooting for people to put on Gatemote, chatting with people at work and drinking coffee. I love the fact that Chocholatte is a part of Kverhuset A/S (where I work at the store Konstrast), it gives me a caffelatte for 15 Norwegian crowns, witch is like cheep! But anyways, for the two hours I walked around, I only spotted three cool people, and of those, only one, or maybe two, was a real hit! Common people of Ålesund, start dressing cool and hang around in town! Please? But yeah, I met this cool girl from Bergen, which had an amazing style. Well daha, she was from Bergen and not from Ålesund. Jeje, now I'm sitting her, waiting for Summerland to begin. Forgive me, it gives me joy.
